Ever since his teen, Mauro has been developing a keen interest for moving images drawing flipbook animations as well as experimenting with stop-motion and directing freaky short films.
After studying Cinema and Arts at Bologna University, Mauro started his career as an art director in Kalimera, a graphic design studio, where he soon moved into direction with his first music videos and commercials combining live-action and motion graphics in a striking way.
Since 2007 he has been working as a freelance director.
He has directed commercial films including Coca Cola, Samsung, Bmw, Kellogg’s, Sony Ericsson, Fiat, Alfa Romeo, Puma and music videos, like Benny Benassi’s “Satisfaction”, which have won international awards.
